Wiping drives on ubuntu. Which tool/program to use?
As an alternative, I'd recommend ShredOS. Basically does the same thing and is much faster (aaaaaand cue the PTSD I have from having to maintain a fork of it I created for my organization after I convinced everyone to ditch DBAN).
