noice - 1k sloc small extensable file browser rover - 2k sloc, perfect tiny file browser. sfm- 3k sloc, very user friendly, very pretty, prob the best one here.

It it exactly what I was looking for lately! Definitely gonna use it for a while. I also wish there was support for Rover file manager: it's optimized for tiny screens and has a pretty interface.

How to have column view like macOS finder ?
This feature is rarely seen in Linux file managers. I would recommend the CLI file manager ranger. If you need a GUI tool, you should have a look at pantheon files, the file manager of ElementaryOS.
