I'm quite confused how to implement the password function for lain imap widget (https://github.com/lcpz/lain/wiki/imap) - using pass (author recommends spm or pass) gpg (and not plain text).

Probably you're using some widgets made by someone else. Not sure how I can start applications in /etc/xdg/autostart/ in awesomeWM. Have this in my rc.lua (from lcpz/awesome-copycats rc.lua.template): awful.spawn.with_shell(

I wouldn't pick a distro based on this. If you want a pre-config check out awesomewm-copycats

Hi, I've been using awesome for some months already, most of the confix coming from https://github.com/lcpz/awesome-copycats.

My config is mostly based on awesome-copycats with some custom additions.
