Me and a friend had the same issue with the client I managed to fix that by using wine-lol-staging-8.5.1 but it also work with the experimental GE build wine-lutris-LoL-7.22-test

  • Lutris not launching League
    1 project | /r/leagueoflinux | 13 Apr 2023
For reference, I am running Ubuntu 22.04 and can provide further package versions later if needed (currently at work when making this post). I have worked through 1A, 1B, and 1C of the guide ( index - leagueoflinux (reddit.com) as well as imported the runner wine-lol-staging-8.5-1.tar.xz. However, when I go into lutris it shows "launching" but nothing ever happens. If anyone would care to assist a newbie, it would be greatly appreciated!

Downloading the Wine tarball from https://github.com/polkaulfield/lol-for-linux-installer/releases/download/wine-lol-staging/wine-lol-staging-8.5-1.tar.xz and using it with Lutris worked for me! I have an Intel CPU, by the way. Thanks to everyone. I am experiencing the same FPS as before patch 13.7. (I had to add WINEDEBUG with trace+seh.)
