Add New Left-Side Menu Items?
First, no, that cannot currently be done. It would require the developer to write a whole new section. Second, there are plenty of other apps that would serve your needs likely better. If you're collecting physical movies (like DVDs), check out Koillection, and if it's digital movie files, try Plex, tinyMediaManager, or Radarr.

Show HN: Listidge – for sharing lists. Wishlists, todo lists, collections etc.
* To-do lists, like trello - move items through a workflow - backlog/doing/done.
You could invite collaborators to view/edit, add images/video, make lists public/private, make fields mandatory/optional, import/export to common formats etc.
Kind of like koillection(https://github.com/koillection/koillection/) mixed with an Amazon wish list if that makes sense?
I think it's possible to achieve something similar with other more general tools like Airtable, Nocodb, GSuite etc but they're less focussed on lists and you have to do a bit of work to get them looking presentable.
Just wondering if anyone else would find this useful and what they might want from it.

Should I build a self-hosted wish-list/gift-list/any-list sharing platform?
Other apps like nocodb and koillection itself are powerful but too general to handle a wish list workflow which needs to be able to invite external users to edit data in a specific way.

It never quite worked for me either though.

Changing the Android captive portal page
I've been using the homeassistant shopping list integration but I'm planing to switch to "Specifically Clementines" [1] it's not as complete as grocy [2] but that's a feature. My partner will add to a list, not use an inventory managment system.

Asset Management for family?
I've ran Snip-IT and PartKeepr before and they are both good. I've also ran a highly customized version of grocy where I stripped out all the unnecessary food-specific features and just repurposed the inventory, lists, and barcode scanning features to be run on the built-in API server. Worked great too, but definitely not a viable option for general users.
