Why Prusa is floundering, and how you can avoid their fate
There is _a lot_ wrong with Marlin. It is a complex codebase, full with ancient artefacts, litterred with preprocessor ifdefs every 2-3 lines of code, dynamic includes in the middle of CPP files, etc[1]. It's about as unreadable as C++ code gets--well, I guess it's not template metaprogramming.
Klipper by contrast is a breeze to read through[2].
I am very grateful for Marlin, for all of reprap, and everyone who has contributed to it. But saying there is nothing wrong with it is straight up misguided.

Help flash firmware - flipping extruder direction
Creality ships these boards with different MCUs. The STM32F103 is supported by all flavors of Marlin. The GD32F303 is only supported by Creality and th3d.
- I have been trying to install the latest Marlin firmware and have very little luck. It turns out I have a GD MCU. How can I obtain a creality v4.2.2 or v4.2.7 silent board for an Ender 3 Max Neo and be sure it’s equipped with and STM MCU?

What do you mean "TH3D" fork? I found this but there is no specific GD32 folder inside the HAL.
