Like making Android 12 worse than 11 through a horrible UI with less customization than before, adding giant buttons to give you less options in the notification centre, making mobile data and wifi more inaccessible, removing dislikes from YT, trying (and failing) to make a game streaming service through Stadia, killing off Google Play Music for the shitty YT music, and killing off a WHOLE BUNCH of other stuff.
Can I have the old search menu back? This is just awful.

People are talking about Web3. Is it the Internet of the future or just a buzzword?

Google as an example is notorious for buying stuff only to gut it and then kill it off: https://killedbygoogle.com/
So last year Stadia ended the year really strong and everybody was happy. Blogs were shared saying there wer many plans for SG&E bringing exclusive games in the next few years. Then January happened…

Just take a look at this https://killedbygoogle.com
Other than the few games that have been available to pre-order for some time, is Chorus the last "major title" to be announced for Stadia?

Pros and cons of porting to Google voice?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/NoContract | 27 Nov 2021
My $0.02: Google loves killing useful projects that don't make them a lot of money (https://killedbygoogle.com/). Google Voice has been basically dead and/or on life support for years, with no new features or changes (other than to take away the ability to forward SMS to a linked phone number because "spam" - requiring use of their app or web site). It's likely the only reason they haven't killed the service entirely is because so many people use it as their primary means of contact and it would look really bad - in the news, raise the ire of the FCC or Congress, etc.2 projects | reddit.com/r/NoContract | 27 Nov 2021
What was supposed to be the next big thing but failed miserably?

I hate it whenever somene asks new iOS devs to learn react native/flutter and here is my reasoning.
1 project | reddit.com/r/iOSProgramming | 26 Nov 2021
And especially, I would avoid Flutter. Google has a reputation for cancelling projects. When they do, would you like to have to rewrite your app completely from scratch? Or just have it stuck with last year's OS features and some bugs?
Will PlayOnLinux run any windows software?

If your games are on Steam, check on ProtonDB to see if they work on Linux. If they're not on Steam, take a look at Lutris. Also take a look at r/linux_gaming, it's a nice and friendly sub.
Will I be able to run games/apps from other companies that steam with the steam OS or will I need to install other OS?

If you want to try out gaming, it's not something that's impossible on Linux. The most issues here are unsupported Anti Cheats, you can play a lot of games also on Linux. Just check out ProtonDB (Steam) and for other platforms Lutris. The r/linux_gaming can help you with issues.
Question about older games and setting up a disk drive for them.

The only beginner-friendly way is by using lutris or PlayOnLinux, but it will only work if your game is in their list. For instance there's Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on lutris so this one will be easy to install.
Should I stick with Windows?

You may want to check lutris.net for Epic and other non-Steam games that require third party launchers. There's also an open source launcher that replaces the Epic one, but I forget what it is called.
Will mods for games work on SteamOS?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/SteamDeck | 26 Nov 2021
Yes, but they are not officially supported. You can use Lutris to install Vortex Mod Manager and Mod Organizer 2.
i need most easy version of linux for gaming and all other stuff does
1 project | reddit.com/r/linux4noobs | 25 Nov 2021
Be sure to check game compatibility first. You can do so at protondb for Steam games, or lutris.net or appdb.winehq.org for non-Steam games. ~80% of all Windows games will work, some might require a little bit of tweaking to get working smoothly.
