keyseebee VS grabert-hardware

Compare keyseebee vs grabert-hardware and see what are their differences.

keyseebee

KeySeeBee is a split ergo keyboard. It is only 2 PCB (so the name) with (almost) only SMD components on it. It's only a keyboard, no LED, no display, nothing more than keys and USB. (by TeXitoi)

  • Some questions about MCU choice

Hello, I am a mechanical engineering student and have decided that I am going to embark on making my own board, including the pcb and case design. I have passable grasp of pcb design, but am struggling to determine what mcu to purchase. I am planning on a 60 percent layout with potentially some potentiometers / extra buttons. I was also highly intrigued by the prospect of using a high io count package to bypass matrixes and reduce component count and overall complexity. I am taking inspiration from https://github.com/KoBussLLC/grabert-hardware in which a STM32F072V8T6 is utilized. However that chip is not in stock anywhere and seemingly neither are many if not all of stm's other comparable 100-lqfp chips. I am planning to utilize qmk for my firmware and am kind of lost on selecting something else that would offer the required 80ish I/O and compatibility with qmk.
