When installing KeeperFX 1.0, perform a fresh installation without overwriting any previous versions. Saved games cannot be migrated. Theme Hospital didn't age well...
Of anyone wants to play then there is an open source update for it called CorsixTH. Faithful to the original but it works on modern hardware.

The HD mod has not been the recommended way to play the game in maybe seven or eight years. You want VCMI which is an open source reimplementation project similar to projects like OpenTTD, OpenXCom, OpenRA, OpenRCT2, CorsixTH, and OpenMW.
