    To use it you also need a way to find reference points, which have to be (pre-)periodic and close to the points on screen to be useful. I couldn't find much good literature on this while making https://gitlab.com/Gutawer/oxibrot, but that uses a sort of improvised method consisting of Newton's method with automatic differentiation.
