Listening Comprehension Practice
I wrote Pact to export short audio clips to Anki, so that interesting clips get played again and again. A good though tough drill is to try to repeat a sentence verbatim, i.e. word-for-word, at the same speed as the speaker.

What do you do while making Anki flash cards?
Don't know if it will help you, but I wrote a thing called "Pact" to help make Anki audio clips from mp3s. I use it to make clips from podcasts. https://github.com/jzohrab/pact Cheers! jz

Guidance/tips on how to make a release for a desktop app
I've written a desktop application that I find very useful for my language studies. It's called Pact, I posted about it recently. It's a tkinter app with some dependencies (ffmpeg, vlc), along with the regular python pip dependencies. The code is on GitHub: https://github.com/jzohrab/pact/

Any Japanese youtube channels with JP CC? + my Youtube2srs recommendation
After going through thousands of subs2srs anime cards (~300 episodes) I started noticing a lot of common real-life words that weren't covered, and so my lazy ass arrived at the perfect solution: youtube2srs. If anyone is interested, the link is here: https://github.com/kamui-fin/yt2srs and it's very easy to use.
What are some alternatives?
