darkroom VS emacs-dashboard

There are nice looking distraction-free setups with https://github.com/joostkremers/writeroom-mode or https://github.com/rnkn/olivetti or https://github.com/joaotavora/darkroom or https://github.com/rougier/nano-emacs

Is there a reason you specifically do a fboundp check on the modes you turn off? They are base emacs. I sometimes use darkroom which is nice with this simple config

Niagara takes a configuration file that specifies what the user wants to happen, and then deploys it! When I'm opening Emacs, I normally want it to display my dashboard. But if I'm opening a file, I just want it to jump straight to the file and not waste time showing the dashboard.

This would be similar to what ace-link does, except that ace-link doesn't work with dashboard, and it uses Avy style keys for selection instead of numbers.

This feature is largely inspired by dashboard, but is implemented differently. Please make a bug report if you encounter any unexpected behaviours.

I got bored by my previous theme and I wanted something new, so I went ahead and made my first theme. It’s based on my current Emacs configuration (you can find a screenshot at the beginning of the page) and especially on the aesthetics of the dashboard package, the Doom Nord theme as well as the Doom modeline.
