Kind of silly, but I had a 'It makes sense moment' today
It would be better to use jidoujisho with a proper dictionary, as translations are a crutch that are better off being dropped.

For your free hours, if you have a hand free, maybe install a book reader with a popup dictionnary on your phone like jidoujisho and read on your phone. You're now immersing at work :)

can you recommend a good ebook reader hardware?
You can jailbreak the kindle(not needed on the kobo) to install koreader which is good but that won't beat alternative under an android device like the Boox Page: Anki + AnkiconnectAndroid + kiwi + yomitan/yezichak

I want to learn Japanese on a BOOX tablet. Are there any problems with Japanese fonts? Does OCR work?
I'm currently not at a stage where I can read Japanese books haha, this would be more of future-proofing myself basically. But when I did research I found this here, which is a dictionary and Anki integration for a browser

Any resources for adding audio to anki cards on Android?
If you use Kiwi Browser you can install yomichan on android and if you additionaly get anki connect for android you can add cards from yomichan just like on PC.

- Full Yomichan integration with AnkiDroid and https://github.com/KamWithK/AnkiconnectAndroid using Kiwi browser with TTU reader (https://reader.ttsu.app). Relatively easy to setup even though I haven't used Android in years. This works perfectly, and even automatically imports the context sentence and native audio pronunciation of each word.
