Zq: An Easier (and Faster) Alternative to Jq
It took me a while to grok jq, but now that I do I kinda like it? I don't think I want to learn yet another thing.
I do like tools that complement/supplement jq though, like jid: https://github.com/simeji/jid

How to navigate an API from the terminal
If you're trying to work out the structure and content of an API's JSON responses, you can keep paging through the documentation and the paged output of less or you can reach for more precise JSON parsing tools such as, jq and jid.

Help using JQ interactively?
Yeah, I love me some jq, and my first reaction to the JSON tools page was 'What do these bring to the table that jq doesn't?". Gron and Jid changed my mind.

A ‘Software Developer’ Knows Enough to Deliver Working Software Alone and in Teams
It depends on the scale of the project but man, if you can't build a simple CRUD app in your preferred stack and deploy it in some fashion (even if it's just a binary posted on some website, kinda like Exa) then that's just disappointing...

Which 2nd language should I learn?
Can compile to a single binary to build tools like exa

macOS Command-Line Tools You Might Not Know About
Some of us don't want all of GNU's utilities; just on an as-needed basis. They're not as needed as they once were.
Many of these utilities have been rewritten in Rust and have more modern features.
For example, instead of ls, I use exa [1]. Or ripgrep [2] instead of grep.

fish: A very fast shell with various customization options to streamline daily commands. I discovered it through this post by @caarlos0, where he provides more details about performance and the differences between fish and zsh. Additionally, I use some CLI utilities like delta, exa, and ripgrep. Here's my dotfiles for fish.

Everything I Installed on My New Mac
I still use exa for listing files in the terminal. It's a modern replacement for ls with a lot of useful features. With icons, colors, and git integration, it makes listing files much nicer.
What are some alternatives?
jiq - jid on jq - interactive JSON query tool using jq expressions
lsd - The next gen ls command
fx - Terminal JSON viewer & processor
colorls - A Ruby gem that beautifies the terminal's ls command, with color and font-awesome icons. :tada:
m4b-tool - m4b-tool is a command line utility to merge, split and chapterize audiobook files such as mp3, ogg, flac, m4a or m4b
fish-shell - The user-friendly command line shell.
dasel - Select, put and delete data from JSON, TOML, YAML, XML and CSV files with a single tool. Supports conversion between formats and can be used as a Go package.
fd - A simple, fast and user-friendly alternative to 'find'
zed - A novel data lake based on super-structured data
coreutils - Cross-platform Rust rewrite of the GNU coreutils
percol - adds flavor of interactive filtering to the traditional pipe concept of UNIX shell
bat - A cat(1) clone with wings.
