jellyfin-plugin-imvdb VS jellyfin-web

While I hate to advertise competition, you can use Jellyfin with IMVdb plugin: jellyfin/jellyfin-plugin-imvdb (github.com)

I noticed there is a feature request HERE and an already merged PR HERE. I'm running the current Jellyfin 10.8.10 via docker.

I don't think it's currently possible to define additional data for an author (like a small summary of the authors works etc.), like the TV shows and movies do via online metadata providers. That there is no author's page and that a book series isn't grouped together is as far as I'm aware a limitation of the GUI ( https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-web ).

If you build everything from source you also need to build the web client, so a small dive into the whole JavaScript / Node.js ecosystem will be required.

I assume its the new version has more problems detecting the right codec as seen in this post: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-web/issues/3690

You only have a part of the config.json file. Here's the rest. My config.json looks like this and I have my custom menu links. I did have to go into the site settings and clear all cache/data for them to show up.

Mh. I would claim that AV1 is the problem here. But looking at this issue here AV1 should work in combination with WebM.
