This one's a bit of a long shot, but it's free, and if she ends up liking it then it'll open up a whole genre that can run on integrated graphics: IVAN

Ask HN: Favourite Open Source Game?
IVAN (https://github.com/Attnam/ivan)
A rougelike where you can have your legs severed, pray to a god to have them regenerated and have them regenerated as bananas.

In your opinion what roguelike allows for the most creative solutions ?
IVAN is another one that does that kind of thing, but is pretty good instead of awful. XD It's hard as hell though.

What do people miss about older versions of Angband?
have you ever played uMoria? it seems likely you have. anyway, it's a lot of fun and also extremely unforgiving at the same time. almost unpleasant. like a really stinky piece of cheese.

Diablo 4's $21 Bone Guy armor is just another reminder of how numb we've gotten to Microtransaction Hell
Diablo is directly inspired by roguelikes such as NetHack, ADOM, and Moria so I personally don't think it would've been bad.

The hint is in the root word "origin."
No, Moria.

What Games Should I Start With
I feel like Moria is a nice intro that gets into the fundamentals. Very close to Rogue but with just a bit more fun stuff without getting complicated.

How can my startpage be responsive?

Robert Alan Koeneke has passed away. He was the the original creator of "Moria", the very first directly rogue-inspired game
I recommend checking out UMoria for those interested in the game. It's a port of the original game which fixes bugs and inconsistencies, corrects typos, and adds a few quality of life improvements.
