[question] I wan’t to downgrade an iPhone 3G from 4.2 to 3.x or 2.x . I can’t seem to find any up to date toturial. Can anyone help me?
To downgrade to 3.x, download the IPSW from ipsw.me/iPhone1,2, and put the device into regular DFU mode (pwned DFU is not needed for this). You should just be able to shift click the restore button and select the IPSW you just downloaded. You will get error 1015 and put back into recovery mode, but this can be fixed using tools like iREB for Windows - use the Recovery Loop Fixer tab.
