Building Rust code for my OpenWrt Wi-Fi router
Neat work.
I dove into the packaging system while working on iptmon, an iptables-based network monitor. It's actually pretty straightforward to write a Makefile and set up your package as a feed.

You need to configure the iptables module of collectd to pick it up. There are screenshots at the iptmon website: https://github.com/oofnikj/iptmon

Anyway to monitor 20+ server in one single place?
take a look at snmp and librenms https://www.librenms.org/ I have been using this for years and it has never let me down. You can even then import data into Grafana if you want.
