Zero Iota On Trinity Ledger Nano S
Ha, I have finally got an access to my IOTAs. What was I doing wrong? Yes, you guessed it, the index number was wrong. I still don't know how I came up with the index number 512 two years ago!??!? Thanks to the guy who made this IOTA ledger index finder -> https://github.com/HBMY289/iotaLedgerIndexFinder

How to access Ledger Nano S seeds outside of Trinity wallet?
There is a tool for that as well: https://github.com/HBMY289/iotaLedgerIndexFinder

Need To Generate 81 Character Seed From Ledger Seed Phrases (I used a Trinity wallet with Ledger long ago)
Can someone tell me an easy way to do this. I saw on Github how to run a script to do it but I'm not technical and I really don't know how to do that. Is there some non-techie user interface for that? Please note my USB ports on laptop don't work so I can't just have Firefly walk me through it and open my Ledger and it appears the Android version of Firefly does not accept the words.. you have to have the 81 character seed. Thank you for all help. Here are the GitHub pages that talk about the script: https://github.com/mlouielu/iota-mnemonic https://github.com/muXxer/recover-iota-seed-from-ledger-mnemonics

Migrating MIOTA from Ledger Trinity Wallet to Firefly Wallet
Not completely. Here is a repo https://github.com/muXxer/recover-iota-seed-from-ledger-mnemonics to get your seed from the ledger. I would only do it of you really need it else just wait some days/weeks that they adapted it to the firefly wallet

If you really can't be bothered to wait a few weeks, use a tool to convert your ledger wordphrase into a standard seed https://github.com/muXxer/recover-iota-seed-from-ledger-mnemonics

Seed export is not available for ledger account type
There are conversion tools that translate ledger/bip-39 wordphrases into a typical seed/key such as this one for IOTA https://github.com/muXxer/recover-iota-seed-from-ledger-mnemonics

Trying to make a migrate plan
2) You could get the seed from the ledger using https://github.com/muXxer/recover-iota-seed-from-ledger-mnemonics, but I would not recommend this at all. Partly because it is not an official tool, and partly because it completely misses the point of using a hardware ledger. You use a hardware ledger because you want your IOTA seed isolated from all computers and especially the internet. Instead you should just create another seed in Trinity before 28th April 2021, create a new address, and just send your funds from the hardware ledger to that address.

IOTA Ledger Restore
But if you don't care about the old words you can use them with this tool by muXxer https://github.com/muXxer/recover-iota-seed-from-ledger-mnemonics .. to "extract" the seed from your recovery phrases together with your index number in Trinity. Default is 0.
