Shelf – open-source asset management software
Someone mentioned https://inventree.org which looks cool, but there is no distributor API connections AFAIK. I really wanted to ability to scan my Digikey bags and have it auto fill all of the parameters so I made a super basic app to do that. I'm planning on open sourcing it once I clean it up.

Asset Management for family?
Some of the top options would be https://snipeitapp.com or https://inventree.org I used Inventree briefly and honestly couldn’t bring myself to actually add enough stuff to make it useful for me but the software was solid

Inventory system to track individual users' inventory
InvenTree is the self hosted solution I use. Previously on SnipeIT, my experience was really bad, even more with the mobile app. A lot better now with invenTree.

-
What are your favorite self-hosted projects that have been abandoned?
Regardless, I ended up installing Inventree because it actually has a docker image and also (unofficially) supports SQLite.
-
Looking for a simple inventory/stock management software
Inventree - while i could use this, its clearly designed for electronics / high quantities of parts and variations.

A note of appreciation for paperless ngx
I see some questions in the comments about document splitting and if you are using PDF for the export in scanning, this adds an extra step but may be valuable in the long run. For Linux users at least, there is "pdfarranger" which most distros have. You can install that, load the PDF and re-arrange pages, remove pages, etc.

PDF Arranger KDE Alternative?
I have always only been using PDF Arranger for manipulating PDF files (merging different files, arranging, adding, deleting pages) and I'm wondering if there really is no KDE equivalent for that application.
