instagrapi VS instagram_private_api

So I decided to help her out and found a few libraries to automate ig posting and uploading of stories.

So I built a quick script using https://github.com/subzeroid/instagrapi.

The script is nothing fancy (i'm not a good programmer). It just authenticates to ig, fetches the historic post from her ig feed, picks 3 random posts and uploads that to ig stories.

I coudn't be bothered to deploy that anywhere so I'm just running it with a cron-job in my local mac. It was running fine for 2 weeks and now ig is asking me to "Please wait a few minutes before you try again" .

The account recieved a few notifications about instagram suspecting the account was automated.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Should I use a VPN or what is the best practice?

I just can't handle seen her wasting 2 hours a day doing something I can easly automate.

So I dag up, and found a Python script that (maybe) could, but does not work. It use Instagrapi.

someone on the github recommended this https://github.com/adw0rd/instagrapi but unfortunately it can only get already public phone numbers from business accountd

Some have tried to reverse engineer the API (https://github.com/ping/instagram_private_api, https://github.com/danleyb2/Instagram-API) but you run the risk of getting your account banned if Meta cracks down on TOS abuse.

... if your trying to use selenium, or pyautogui, don't some smart people have made Instagram Private API. Which means you can interact with Instagram as a user.

I suspect there are two major issues that could be into play SSL Certificate: This Osint Application uses a private Instagram API which usually works fine but, as it's an unofficial api (since Instagram stripped it's development api to the open users)the website which your computer is trying to access, it's ssl/root certificate is either isn't valid, doesn't exist or the signatures in the library in Python is out of dated which could pull to issue number 2

Or you can try with this: Instagram Private API This emulates the official app and has a larger set of functions and less limitations (it can do what you've asked). Don't know if it's up to date anymore, but it should server as a good starting point regardless.
