Deploying Flutter to iOS 15 on MacOS Catalina
Since we want to deploy to iOS 15.7, we will need the Device Support files for this iOS version. Head to https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport and download DeviceSupport/15.7(FromXcode_14.1_Release_Candidate_xip).zip, unzip this file in Finder, then move the folder 15.7 to /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport.
- Does anybody know where to the find IOS 16.1 device support file (for an older Xcode version)?

My next Mac might be the last
They take forever but it’s only once in a while. If you’re just trying to support newer iOS versions you can just yank them from here instead of updating.

Install and run iPhone apps without using Xcode
Use something like https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport to get the device support files, and https://pmbaty.com/iosbuildenv/ to develop apps

"failed to prepare device for deployment". Is there a known solution for this?
To get around this, you can download the iOS Device Support file corresponding to your iOS version from https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport and paste it to the following directory:

Why is it so painful to update Xcode?
Instead of upgrading Xcode, I used to just bring over the new device support files for newer iOS versions: https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport

iOS 14.7 device support files?
Is there any place I can find device support files for iOS 14.7 to be used with XCode 12.0.1? I cannot find it in places like https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport/tree/master/DeviceSupport . Is it because the release is too new?

Windows 11 struggling to escape the shadow of Windows 10
> Windows 11 brings absolutely nothing on the table
It also removes a leg from the table, the one labelled 'usability'.
Attaching a 3rd-party leg to fill the gap helps (https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher), but it's not an ideal solution

Microsoft Will Eventually Start Charging You for Windows 10 Security Updates
I had more problems with it being wide, merging all app windows in a single icon, showing only icon rather then app title, and not being able to move to top of screen
That may be fixed with https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher which restores win10 bar, there's no builtin solution to any of the above afaik

Screenshots from Windows 95
Thanks for letting me know. I looked into it, and apparently it's still even possible to activate on later versions of Windows with registry edits and helper software: https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/discussions/167

Rectify11 Improving upon the Windows 11 experience
Not going to install something that seems so vague, but I do use ExplorerPatcher [1] on my Windows 11 machines to basically re-create Windows 10 UI and fix all of the annoyances I have with Windows 11. I've got the old right click menu, the old task bar, the old alt-tab interface, pretty much the whole thing. Only reason I use Windows 11 over Windows 10 is because Windows 11 seems to handle my triple monitor setup better, especially when waking up from sleep.
