Forget TabPy - if you have Python that creates CSV you're almost there - check the Hyper API (https://help.tableau.com/current/api/hyper_api/en-us/index.html) and the Tableau Server Client (https://github.com/tableau/hyper-api-samples/tree/main/Community-Supported/publish-hyper) and you can publish your Python data directly to Tableau Online as a published data source and then use that to develop workbooks :)

Sorry, I didn't see Desktop in your title... I think you can accomplish the extract refresh locally using the Hyper API: https://help.tableau.com/current/api/hyper_api/en-us/index.html

I am trying to follow the https://github.com/tableau/hyper-api-samples/tree/main/Community-Supported/publish-multi-table-hyper mentioned here but within Azure Databricks. Unfortunately the swapping of hyper files is failing. Does anyone know how resolve it?
