Ask HN: Can I see your scripts?
Here's my dotfiles repository [1], which is used to sync my little scripts and config files between my different systems (Mac/Linux). I first heard about it here [2].

Software devs, how have you sped up your workflow?
[1] Dotfiles are a way to speed up your workflow. Basically just saving your system scripts to a Git repo, which allows you to manage & iterate on them easily. Also makes it easy to move environments and sync between machines etc..

Designing a coherent set of keyboard shortcuts
Coherent and consistent keyboard shortcuts are incredibly important. We spent a ton of time throughout many projects fine-tuning the choices for GitAlias @ https://github.com/gitalias/gitalias
A challenge is being willing to cut shortcuts that people like, but that don't cohere well, or can't be consistent. A specific example: GitAlias uses "git p" always as "git pull" and never as "git push".

Ask HN: Can I see your scripts?
I use git alias scripts, such as for shortcuts, metrics, and workflows.
