Ps4 has been sitting in a box since the kids were born.
The problem is to know which firmware is required for a specific game or patch. I found orbispatches.com to be useful for single searches, and https://github.com/hippie68/fw useful for scanning collections on HDD.

Spoofing or ignoring (GoldHEN) can get you past the firmware requirement but not past the SDK requirement. The latter requires a backport. "Software" distributors usually don't offer backports. I found this particularly useful: https://github.com/hippie68/fw.

if the dlc is present in the update, or main game then you could try to unlock it with a fake dlc maker such as psDLC.
