ZSA Voyager: Low profile split keyboard
Only two thumb keys seems like it could be a pain. I don't love trying to figure out the timing delays for tap vs hold. After a long search I settled on the Hillside 46 [1][2] which has 4 thumb keys and a splayed layout. Also choc spacing, as I didn't love the gaps between choc keycaps with mx spacing. Not sure why, as the macbook pro keyboard doesn't seem to give me any problems.
I like the all the case options and mods available to the ZSA keyboards. The biggest problem with building your own I feel is the cost of getting a nice, solid feeling case.

Corne, but with a wider thumb cluster and stronger column stagger?
There are a few things that are close: * The Cantor/Piantor: more aggressive stagger and slightly changed thumb cluster. * The Swept Corne: essentially a big sweep. * The Hillside 46/48: This comes in many forms which are very similar to what you are looking for. Essentially an extra aggressive stagger (and perhaps splayed) Corne with a bigger thumb cluster.

How do I go about acquiring a pre-built Swept Corne?
I don’t have personal experience no. If you want to compare, here is a image of the key location: https://github.com/mmccoyd/hillside/blob/main/hillside46/doc/image/hill46_keys.png others exist for the other sizes in similar places. You can print this out, making sure you size so that the keys are properly spaced, and then compare that way
- Looking at Kyria or Hillside as a developer. Any suggestions?

Which open source split keyboard do you suggest for Colemak Mod-DH?

Split low profile with ctrl key
the first thing that pops into my head is something like the Hillside 52/56?

[request] Looking for Ortho-split-kbd somewhere between an ergodox and a corne.
I'd recommend a Hillside. If you're not into the splay, there's the 48 and the 56. https://github.com/mmccoyd/hillside

Long time no post to reddit: Daily driven boards
I haven't actually posted to Reddit for a while (other than comments that is), and I thought I should. I've been daily driving these 2 boards for a bit, the Fissure v3.2 and the Fusion. Both boards are fully BLE, and of course following my tradition on using the embedded steno engine.
-
You all are crazy! Where did you start?
There have been a lot more progress in the last years, but when I started like 3 years ago, I basically looked through r/MK for 3 months or so, and imagined how the layouts would work (yes you can just print them out but), picked a balanced point between simplicity and extensibility, and designed my board. After that it's just constant iterations on both the hardware and the key map levels.

No hand movement keyboard
I don't see many high stagger 36 keys, so self plug time. brow/jklp counts, though that's a hand wire
-
Does this exist? Kyria stagger, Corne layout, Choc spacing?
Not strictly 3x6, but the Fissure v3 does everything else.
-
Ergodox Ez owners, how satisfied are you?
my preferred boards are smaller—I’ve got a Kyria that I like quite a bit and am currently dailying a Fissure—but the ergodox was the board that got me started on that route, and I actually just rehomed my ergodox ez to a friend wanting to try out a split board for work :D
