Quick tip, you can install this in Desktop mode (it's an easy process) to make Hades fill the entire Steam Deck screen (without black bars on top and bottom). It looks even better that way.

Hades runs at max resolution @120FPS! (MBP 14” M1 Pro Base Model)
The game is locked in 16/9 aspect ratio though, I recommend you use Hephaistos if you’d like to run it without black bars on the computer’s internal display :)

How to set resolution higher than 2560 x 1440 on ultrawide?
Hephaistos mod author here. The issue happens because your monitor reports back too many supported resolution to the game, and the list of resolutions available gets trimmed to 9.

The game doesnt properly support the deck's resolution so it's letterboxed, but there is a mod to change that if it bothers you: https://github.com/nbusseneau/hephaistos
