Reminder that we're all united in GNU. The real cope and seethe is and will always be on wincucks.
Yeah rust doesn't have any practical applications, it's mostly just a meme for aesthetically-motivated programmers who barely know what they're doing and want to make the most nonsense bloated soyware imaginable. See: https://github.com/mTvare6/hello-world.rs

after a launch on Reddit, the project only got 2 stars on GitHub. How is that even possible? The answer is the README isn’t flashy enough.

> Somehow Rust forces you to have colorful terminal output? Rust is high overhead? You can't strive for simplicity and write in Rust?
This was more of a sarcastic reference to https://github.com/mTvare6/hello-world.rs

How to replace i3wm lockscreen?
My only problem right now is that I absolutely hate how i3lock looks. I tried follow the installation steps of betterlockscreen to try to have it replaced. I have so far managed to setup a keybind that locks my machine using betterlockscreen.

Its not about systemd bad becaus unix philosophy!111!!! its about I wanna choose my init system independent from distro of my choise.
For my use I didn't really encounter that many issues. I used OpenRC, and had some issues with betterlockscreen, but I think I solved it fairly fast with xss-lock. Since I also a MX Master 3 I had some issues with having the logiops daemon start a startup, but also this wasn't much of an issue because of the Gentoo forums.

You should be able to disable screen locking in the DE's settings. Someone mentioned it in this GitHub issue
