Beaker Browser – experimental peer to peer web browser
There used to be a service called Hashbase[1] that would "pin" (aka seed) a site for you. Looks like it's pretty dead, though, which is a shame since it feels like something along these lines would be pretty necessary for any Beaker sites you might consider remotely real/serious.

There's an opensource distributed sci-hub like app called sciencefair. It's using the dat protocol. It's working but it hasn't been updated since a year and it doesn't support proxies as sci-hub does to fetch new content directly, here the model is for each user to share their own collection of articles.
What are some alternatives?
