Using a 2020 framework (Halfmoon UI), instead of Tailwind CSS, will I regret this?
Sadly, the Github (https://github.com/halfmoonui/halfmoon) was last updated in February 2021... It's really sad, because it had so much potential in my opinion. It would easily compete with Tailwind if it would have continued to evolve.

On GitHub there are 59 issues that mostly concern mobile adjustments, progress bars to implement, sliders and checkboxes (which are a sandy part for every frontend dev)...

How to make this theme for chat server work without the js 'toggle'
I'm on mobile so it is painful to go through it all and make sure, but at first glance it looks like you just need to copy this CCS: https://github.com/pbaity/rocketchat-dark-mode/blob/master/dark-mode.css (I think from line 94 downwards, although again I'm mobile so just skimming through it)
