Wyze Home Monitoring with Home Assistant??
You may be able to buy a Wyze usb bridge for v1 and use it to connect with the Wyze sense v2 sensors via the HACS Wyze Sense Component. The integration is no longer supported, but I'm using v2 sensors with the v1 hub.

What do you use your motion detector for?
Yes. There is a standard HA integration that can be used for controlling lights and cameras. If you want to use motion and contact sensors, you have to config a HACs integration (https://github.com/kevinvincent/ha-wyzesense).

Are Wyze door sensors the best bang for the buck?
Thanks, Ill look into Aqara. I run HA and keep everything local. If I got Wyze I would get the Sense kit and use this HACS component instead of relying on cloud or Wyze app

First time actually laying out the whole network since I started 2 years ago
I'm using ha-wyzesense through HACS. Unfortunately the clock is ticking on these sensors and I'm trying to move away from them. Sometimes the sensors themselves freeze, other times it's the integration breaking since its just a reverse-engineered hack. And they are going to die permanently one day anyway...

There have been several community developed projects for the wyze cams like WyzeHacks, wz_mini_hacks, and docker-wyze-bridge, however, it seems as though each project is slowly getting killed off with every new product and firmware release.

Why can't someone (WYZE ?) come up with a way to send cam recordings to a folder or share on the wifi network instead of to the sd card. that way if there was a breach of any kind where the camera got destroyed, you would have a recording of it elsewhere.
This firmware supports NFS mounts in favor of sd cards. It looks like it hasn't been updated recently, but it worked when I last tried it. https://github.com/HclX/WyzeHacks

Perhaps you're thinking of WyzeHacks or Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks? (the latter does not work with V3 hardware)

How many 'No Signal' is acceptable for a WiFi camera?
I'm running the wz_mini_hacks image (https://github.com/HclX/WyzeHacks) where you run from a SD card and it has a rtsp server. You have the ability to ssh into the camera (which is pretty cool) and it's running Linux so you can do some troubleshooting.
