Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to track your favorite sports team in Home Assistant
I created a simple tutorial for tracking your favorite sports team in Home Assistant. This is based on the Team Tracker custom integration by dev vasqued2 , so all credit is his.

I feel choked up just looking at how surreal my mancave is now. Just DIY with my fabricator to design and we installed the minitron.
This pulls in from espn api https://github.com/vasqued2/ha-teamtracker then you create automations to react to a touchdown or whatever. I started playing with it and have led strips in the room change color to the team’s color that has possession (in nfl)

NHL goalies save percentage by goal differential
I used the nhlstats tool to download play-by-play and shift data for the current NHL season, and then loaded it into a PostgreSQL database. 99% of the analysis was done using postgres queries, though I did use a little bit of pandas / Seaborn to create charts because of how intertwined those ecosystems are. The queries are relatively complex so I won't break them down here unless there is great demand, but I am planning to release the code to download & process the data once I have it cleaned up a bit.
