ddterm is a great extension. An extension in the app list? Yes, because it is basically a drop-down terminal like guake/yakuake, but it is a "Gnome extension" and has many options. I basically can't live without this.

I use Ubuntu with Gnome and don't mind Snap, btw. My primary requirement for a good experience is that I must be able to press ▤ to get a drop-down terminal (currently provided by ddterm)

There is a repository available https://github.com/guilhem/gnome-shell-extension-ddterm, I really hope development will go on, ddterm is probably the most important extension for my workflow

Another regression is that KeePassX/C AutoType doesn't work with Wayland, so now instead of a simple CTRL+V in KeePassXC, I have to separately copy and paste the user and the pass.
