    So now, I'm actually in the process of making a KDoc/Javadoc preprocessing Gradle plugin: https://github.com/Jolanrensen/docProcessorGradlePlugin It is able to generate new sources with the Javadoc/KDoc modified in place. It can process (inline) tags or the whole doc and you can make your own extensions. Still in early stages though! But hopefully it can prove useful for other library authors too :).
