iPhone 14 Pro comes with dual-frequency GPS
It is possible on quite a few modern Android phones to access raw receiver data and do post-processing using a rinet file to get mm-level accuracy. If you did not install GApps try outdoor with an unobstructed view of the sky for 10 minutes to get the first fix with apps like GPSTest by barbeau or SatStat for example.

For a visual of what speed accuracy figures one might expect, I suggest trying GPSTest (not to be confused with similarly named apps). It'll display accuracy values along with many other values.

Best android phone music app for JellyFin?
Jellyfin Audio Player also exists, but I've not tried it quite as much. It seems to be somewhat inferior to Gelli feature wise, and also doesn't have offline mode. It does have a unique somewhat "iOS-like" interface if that's something your brother would like. It is also installed by sideloading.
