Playmaker for bridging gPlay apps to fdroid in 2021
I'm trying to use Matlink's cli solution which uses a Google play api fork, which works better than the original one. I say trying, because I'm facing other issues but there is a Dockerfile linked in the issue that does authenticate correctly when built with the PyPi package, which you can use as a reference. On the other hand however, trying to do use gplaycli in OpenSuse tumbleweed with Python 3.9 fails, so id say the solution is not that robust

Playmaker for bridging gPlay apps to fdroid in 2021
I was using playmaker for some time, but due to the same error I switched to the fork from fellek. I am not using it at the moment, but possibly this helps you. Good luck!
