Step 2 Choosing a library. Assuming you're using Oauth you have a few libraries you can choose from. There is the official Google python library, and there are a few libraries that wrap the official one for a cleaner API. https://developers.google.com/gmail/api/quickstart/python https://github.com/jeremyephron/simplegmail Just from poking around a bit simplegmail has a nice API, but always be cautious about using 3rd party libraries when you're providing auth. Use at your own risk.
