The Empire State Building looks... interesting... in the 45-degree imagery on Google Maps
I've recently written a tool, Google Maps at 88 mph (the name's a reference) that collects all available imagery versions for a given area in the form of a GIF. In the last week, I've extended it to handle the 45-degree imagery (looking at cities at an oblique angle) available via an API.

Setting up Anki Vector with 1.8 and Wire-pod (or prod-pod)
Oh yeah, good luck. I'd recommend using a VM or at least a Docker container. You're going to run into quite a few issues. I remember trying to run GOES tools on WSL, I eventually got passed everything but one error didn't let me continue.

Just double-checking: did you make all the changes shown at https://github.com/pietern/goestools/pull/83/files? Specifically, changing the 5 to a 6 at the end of line 3. I know I missed that at first.
