Screen share
I use goMarkableStream to share the tablet's screen to a web browser on my computer, then share the computer screen (or just that browser window) using the screen-sharing function built into the corporate-mandated chat program.

GoMarkableStream new version
Not saying you don't know your own name, but I think the URL is supposed to be https://github.com/owulveryck/goMarkableStream

New screen streaming
Rotate still not done, but it is testable (I dropped a binary on GitHub for testing purpose : https://github.com/owulveryck/goMarkableStream/tree/websocket )

Screenshare
Did that ever work? A while ago I used gomarkablestream. Need to use the command line though.

Screen sharing without Connect
yep. https://github.com/owulveryck/goMarkableStream
- Basic support for colors in the tool goMarkableStream
- I just an awesome ad about reMarkable 2. Was just about to buy it when I realised that just for screen sharing (my main usecase) I need to pay 50% of the tablet cost in a yearly fee. INSTANTLY went from 100% buy to 0% buy. So stupid.

Use remarkable as a portable second monitor?
The reMarkable, both RM1 and RM2, can totally be used as a second monitor for one's PC.

Gen Zers are bookworms but say they're shunning e-books because of eye strain, digital detoxing, and their love for libraries
There is a GitHub project to use Remarkable as a second screen. I have not tried it.

There's https://github.com/matteodelabre/vnsee if you want to use VNC as a client on your remarkable. I've used it in the past to run Chromium on a server and display it on the reMarkable: https://photos.app.goo.gl/TnNE1tdzvrwphJ8N6

VNC for rm2 - still works?
Yes, it still works! I don’t provide any “official” instructions to use it with Windows, but check out this thread where users discussed some ways to get it to work: https://github.com/matteodelabre/vnsee/issues/13

Sreen Cast without Connect
Yes, see also https://github.com/matteodelabre/vnsee for the other direction. They don't need Connect. I believe most if not all work with Windows but probably slightly trickier to setup than with Linux.

The PineNote is an e-ink notebook that runs Linux
There is a community VNC client for it. If you're on Windows you'll need a HDMI dummy plug to simulate a second screen with the proper dimensions.
But yes, it works as an external screen. Check out VNSee for this https://github.com/matteodelabre/vnsee
- Any way to use the rM2 as a "second screen" for a laptop? Specifically, for terminal use.
