IDE: use whatever make you productive. I personally use vscode. VCS: git, as golang communities use github heavily as base for many libraries. AFAIK Linter: use staticcheck for linting as it looks like mostly used linting tool in go, supported by many also. In Vscode it will be recommended once you install go plugin. Libraries/Framework: actually the standard libraries already included many things you need, decent enough for your day-to-day development cycles(e.g. `net/http`). yeah it’s part of an ongoing slapfight between elastic co and amazon, see this PR https://github.com/elastic/go-elasticsearch/pull/324 and the many similar ones for all the other client libraries

It's not open source since 2017. The open source fork is https://github.com/manticoresoftware/manticoresearch

I haven't looked at the code, but I've seen https://github.com/manticoresoftware/manticoresearch popping up in a few places. Might be worth looking at. It would be great to have a faster drop-in replacement for Elasticsearch that's not written in Java. I don't see anywhere where they claim that it's faster simply because it's written in C++. They do mention that they make use of C++ to add low level optimizations that make queries faster and the memory imprint smaller, but any claims about performance in the readme are linked to benchmarks to back up their claims
