Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I wrote a CLI utility for backing up your github data, including repos, issues, PRs and releases
You can use it via npx github-takeout if you have NodeJS installed, or download binaries from here. It guides you through the process to determine what you want to download and what not. Issues, release information and meta data (such as lists of your starred repos) are downloaded as JSON dumps and as HTML report. It also supports automatically zipping every repo export individually afterwards.

I wrote a CLI utility for backing up your github data, including repos, issues, PRs and releases
I use gickup (GitHub, Docker Hub) because I configure it and then it's automated. Backups that run automatically are so much more valuable than a manual backup solution. If you have to run it manually, you'll forget to do it, and then the whole point of backups are lost.
