Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Your favourite Rust CLI utilities this year?
Shameless plug, but I recently wrote bselect, which you can use to interactively select git branches, and perform operations on them. It’s saved me time not having to open up a git client when it’s time to delete a load of branches.

Error while building: "perhaps two different versions of crate `image` are being used?"
The bardecoder library is responsible for the detection so it may be worth looking at the issues to see if someone has reported what you are experiencing. There is a report of it not working on a Mac but it may just be related to a specific code.

What's everyone working on this week (11/2023)?
I'm just learning Rust and I thought it would be a good exercise to try to create a wasm version of some existing crates. I picked the bardecoder crate (for scanning QR codes from an image) and also included the image and base64 crates. I expected those crates to have some code or dependency that made building a wasm hard, but it just compiled without any errors. That's defenitely a new (positive) experience as a programmer...
What are some alternatives?
