Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

[WIP] Creating Digital Signatures for PDFs with HexaPDF
The only other pure Ruby library that can do digital signatures for PDFs that I know of is origami. However, it has certain limitations, for example, it can't do multiple signatures.

AsciiDoc(tor) for Technical Documentation
Some of people think, and this is the majority, just use Word Processor software - be it in the desktop or in the cloud. This might work, of course, but might lead to inconsistency. So, we at Zimera Systems has the policy to use open and free tools to power our technical documentation. For this purpose, we find it easier to use Markdown + Pandoc but lately we move to AsciiDoc format and uses Asciidoctor and Asciidoctor-pdf. They are very easy to customize and creating PDF file is a piece of cake with complete theming guide.
