Gatus is a health dashboard that gives you the ability to monitor your services using HTTP, ICMP, TCP, and even DNS queries as well as evaluate the result of said queries by using a list of conditions on values like the status code, the response time, the certificate expiration, the body and many others.5 projects | reddit.com/r/devops | 2 Mar 2022
I also recently started working on a SaaS for a managed solution of Gatus: https://gatus.io
Uptime monitor for many http endpoints?

You can have a look at Gatus but I don't know how it will handle that many hosts (I have maybe 30). It has an API but it's read only, however the config file is monitored so you could probably write a script to dynamically add and remove hosts.

Throw up a lamp stack on the PI and use PHPServerMonitor here's the link for their github https://github.com/phpservermon/phpservermon this is what I use, not only does it monitor your websitew it can also monitor ports for services too really handy becuase it can also send you email and sms notifications when servers go down so you don't have to be watching the screen to know if a host has gone down.
