    This is awesome, I kinda wonder what it looks like using those old gameport db15 joysticks (some of them send midi data on a pin or two), could be interesting to implement that on a db15->usb convertor like https://github.com/necroware/gameport-adapter or https://github.com/Kreeblah/SidewinderToUSBV2 and bring an old joystick/wheel/controller to the modern age with flashy visual feedback, perhaps even in sync with the force feedback changing color with intensity of ffb.
