Home for Christmas and I was stopped in my tracks as I started to clean out the attic when i stumbled upon this! What in the world were Electronic Boutique thinking with this PS1 / Playstation controller design?
I was considering making myself this adapter, but I have no soldering skills whatsoever, and finding some of these parts where I live is pretty hard. Eh, I’ll tackle it eventually 😶

Any vintage PC aficionados out here? I stumbled upon this gameport controller and would love to test it. I'm not quite sure what adapter to get however. Any help would be appreciated.
The project has a thread on adding controller support. Worth asking there too https://github.com/necroware/gameport-adapter/issues/38

MIDI-controlled LED strip on keyboard (WS2812B controlled by ESP8266 with Arduino MIDI library)
This is awesome, I kinda wonder what it looks like using those old gameport db15 joysticks (some of them send midi data on a pin or two), could be interesting to implement that on a db15->usb convertor like https://github.com/necroware/gameport-adapter or https://github.com/Kreeblah/SidewinderToUSBV2 and bring an old joystick/wheel/controller to the modern age with flashy visual feedback, perhaps even in sync with the force feedback changing color with intensity of ffb.
