The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Script to check ETH mining stats
Here's a little project I've been working on. It gets mining statistics on given GPUs, converts ETH into USD/GBP/EUR/CAD and vice versa, gets current ETH and BTC prices and more. Has a pretty cool installer that works with Linux. I'll be making an installer for Windows and Termux at some point. Here's a screenshot of some of its functions. I wrote it because I was in the market for a new GPU but got tired of looking up hash rates every time I found a different card I thought I was going to get. Then I just started using my imagination to add stuff.

what happened to the gpu card calculater , all the 30 series cards are missing on it , alot of cards are just gone, from the last time i looked at it.... when buying new cards i would look at the graph... but alot are gone
I also wrote this script that's quite handy for getting ETH mining stats on GPUs.

Python script to get ETH mining stats on a GPU
I wrote this script because I am in the market for a new GPU and I was sick of looking up the stats on different GPUs. It also 0has an installer.

Python script to check GPU stats
I wrote a little Python script to check the ETH mining stats of a GPU. I'm in the market for a new GPU and got sick of googling hashrates so I made this. Its only requirement that doesn't come standard in Python's libraries is requests. I wrote an installer for it but I haven't made it work with Windows or Termux yet, but that'll be soon to come.

Is NiceHash going to be the best alternative after ETH PoS?
You might consider something like RainbowMiner. It takes a while to set up and run through all the benchmarks but it gives you a lot more control in your hunt for profitability.
