Ableton Midi Envelope for Reaper
REAPER is highly extensible, so a good deal of the ecosystem comes from third parties. The original place to find these are at the REAPER stash, https://stash.reaper.fm. More recently, Reapack lets you browse and manage resources direct within REAPER. So fewer things after that was introduced are found on the stash. This is largely due to the iterative nature of effect and script development, since it's easier to update Reapack packages than to update the stash.

Want to capture drum hits to use as a drumkit for midi
I did also need to add Reapack though.. available here - https://reapack.com/

Why hasn't Ableton added something like this yet? It's the most convenient thing about FL, in my opinion
https://reapack.com/ and then in Reaper this https://imgur.com/a/uzPMnFi

Can I control the knobs with the mousewheel?
The usual and the ultimate place is ReaPack https://reapack.com . Install, add more repository links from https://reapack.com/repos and search by mousewheel, there's a number of scripts which can be useful.
