I have been working on a self-hosted photos application with a mobile app and website, it is created to replace Google Photos for my personal photos. Both my wife and I have been actively using the initial prototype for the past few months. At this stage, I have a few questions
Here's a list of features that would be worth considering: https://github.com/meichthys/foss_photo_libraries When you're ready to release your apps, create an issue on that repo so your app can be included in the comparison 👍

Anyone use an app to track mood/symptoms?
Nomie 5 is realllyyyy fantastic. It was going to be shut down but the author made it open to the public, so I even host a copy of the app myself. GitHub has a functional link for the app. Basically you can track anything you want and in what way you want it. Count, amount, time, timer, range values, units. Can connect tags. Like say for example I wanted to track my HR. I could put the amount of (my normal is 95) - 95, and could add a tag like (sitting down, eating, was with person x, did y activity). So point being is, if you can think of it, you can track it. So currently I have one for mood, anxiety, stress, brushing teeth, showering, motivation, sex drive, taking daily meds, irritability, etc. After a few months I got me some awesome data. https://github.com/open-nomie/nomie5

Nomie fits the bill. It isn't a native app but a PWA. I have been using it for years for capturing data like you describe.

Here is one you could use as a journal: https://nomie.app It is a PWA (not an iOS or Android app). Data exists only on the device you are using (syncing might be coming in the future).
