[No Identification] I want to change the font for a program I use but its using a png based font system. What is it called when this is how fonts are stored? Is there an easy way to convert a TTF to this format?
I also briefly explained how this format works in video game engines, in a conference talk I presented at TypeWknd: https://github.com/justinpenner/fonts-for-games (transcript and video). The talk also covers a more advanced version of the format called signed distance fields.

Russia to Legalize Software Piracy
> Russian companies adding great features to GPL software and not sharing them.
I suspect that is already happening. For example Astra Linux is a Debian derivative but their developers don't appear to be active within Debian.
The other thing is that some FOSS may remove support for Russia in some way. A font removed characters only used in Russian/Belarusian. Qt are blocking downloads from Russia/Belarus. OpenBLAS are considering removing for Russian Elbrus processors.
